Bare Bottoms Marine Anti-Fouling Remover

Bare Bottoms is a powerful, spray-on paint stripper that is specifically formulated for use on boats in areas that are near water systems. Two formulations are offered for boats, depending on your needs:

• Bare Bottoms ES - Designed to quickly remove old anti-fouling paints after a 3 hour dwell time, with no damage to the epoxy barrier coating underneath. The quickest way to remove the anti-fouling in preparation for a new anti-fouling product or repairs.
• Bare Bottoms - The full-strength paint remover that has a 12-24 hour dwell time, allowing it to penetrate several layers of even the toughest coatings in a single application. Old anti-fouling and old epoxy can be removed without grinding, leaving the hull ready for repairs and new coatings.

Both formulations have excellent vertical cling characteristics allowing them to work on awkward or hard to clean surfaces, like boat hulls. Bare Bottoms is formulated with Dimethyl Carbonate (DMC), contains no VOC’s and is 100% biodegradable. It is an environmentally safe and effective alternative to common solvents like MEK and Toluene for removing years of old paint.

Coverage

Each gallon of Bare Bottoms covers approximately 100 square feet, depending on how thick the Bare Bottoms is applied. Bare Bottoms is a thick blue gel that has very little odor and is 100% biodegradable.

Compatible Surfaces

Bare Bottoms will not damage gel coat, wood, glass or metal, but may leave stains. Always cover adjacent areas with plastic sheeting (6 mils min) and secure with painter’s or aluminum tape.
